Butler And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” “The People of God” Hymnal 427 “Amazing Grace” Hymnal 343 Anthem Sanctuary Choir; Jessica Usherwood, soloist “I'm Gonna Sing When the Spirit Says Sing” (arr. | This morning I have chosen to interrupt the series of messages from Romans 8 to speak to our church about our present political situation, and our financial crisis. From time to time God reminds us that there are some things that do not change, despite the fluctuations of our circumstances. We urge all members and friends of The Moody Church to pull together at this time so that we can face the future with confidence and personal sacrifice. Next week, I'll continue the series titled “Children of an Awesome God.” Meanwhile our faith in this awesome God is being tested, and thankfully we are learning together that He is faithful. Thanks for your continued prayers for all that we need to accomplish for the challenges of life.
Blessings, Pastor Lutzer |
